Mayan ceremonial night

Purify body and soul, live the experience of a magical night, participating to this ancient Mayan ceremony, which is practiced since ancient times. A night trip to know the culture of this ancient civilization, an unforgettable experience that will make you feel cleaner inside out. First we will take you to a traditional Mayan community where native members of the community carry out the ritual of purification. Then you will be introduced to the shaman whom will guide you trough this spiritually magical journey around the healing circle of fire. You will then be taken to the Temascal, while describing the surrounding jungle of the route to the east. It is an unforgettable experience that strengthens your soul as the Maya says you’ll be reborn as a warrior.

Finally enjoy a delicious dinner prepared by a traditional Mayan family in the community, followed by a visit to the rural museum of La Villa, the opportunity to know their simple lifestyle, in a magical atmosphere through the night.

Chacchoben

The ceremonial site is located in the southern section of the state of Quintana Roo; the Mayan ruins of Chacchoben got its name from the nearby town a few kilometres away. There isn’t a clear translation of its name and the locals referred to it as the place of the red corns, this ceremonial centre has an area of 6 square kilometres. And it is located in the region known as "Lakes Region".

The place opens from 8:00 to 17:00 hrs.
