Scuba diving

The Mayan Riviera is well known for its coral reefs, one of the longest in the world and perhaps the most beautiful of them. Divers from all over the world visit the area because the crystalline waters of the Caribbean give them the unique chance to appreciate its marine life and coral banks with massive corals of three to five meters, with crustaceans, anemones, shellfish and tunicates.

In these places you can see turtles, barracudas and manta rays. The transparency of water and incredible landscapes creates a unique and unforgettable diving experience. Another attraction is diving in the famous Mayan cenotes, whose number is estimated at More than 3000, of which only 1400 have been studied and officially registered.

Stalactites and stalagmites that can be found inside the numerous caves of cenotes are natural works of art; holes in the ceiling allow filtered sunlight to get in, giving the scene a magical aura. Yucatan Cenotes are a natural treasure that should be seen by everybody; visitors must be extremely careful not to ruin them, we don't want to destroy in a few days what nature took millions of years to create.

Snorkelling

Surely an activity for everyone, the snorkelling is a recreational activity safe and easy to practice, it does not require previous experience. This sport can be practiced in cenotes or in the few deep beaches throughout the area. Both scenarios are fascinating, offering different and charming landscapes. Just pick up your mask and discover a fantastic world just a few meters from the surface.
